Even though the film won’t be out until this Friday, 20th Century Fox is so confident in Deadpool that a sequel is already in the works for it with screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning to work on a script.
Director Tim Miller is apparently not attached to the follow-up film at this stage yet but The Hollywood Reporter claims that Fox is determined to keep the creative team of Miller, Reese, and Wernick together.
Deadpool is set to open in theaters this weekend and is tracking for a $65 million plus four-day holiday opening weekend. So far all the early reviews for the movie are looking positive for the Merc With A Mouth.
